Gas Fills
If you need gas, we’ve got it. Our friendly staff provide high quality air fills (up to 300 bar) on demand during shop opening ours. We have a large capacity air compressor and bank storage system for both Nitrox 32% and air, meaning even in the busy summer weekends we can get your tank filled and you into the water. Please allow up to 15 minutes to ensure your cylinder is filled to its rated capacity (Nitrox 32% and air).

Example club pricing for 36% custom mix nitrox (80cf/11L):

Nitrox Fills *
St George Underwater is the home of nitrox. We have pre-mixed 32% in our banks and can fill into non-oxygen clean cylinders anytime we are open (just like air). We can also create custom mixes (anything other that 32%) including 100% oxygen. We use a partial pressure blending technique for these and can either top off or blend into an empty cylinders. Due to partial pressure blending method, which involves 100% oxygen at some stage, cylinders must be oxygen clean.
The following certification requirements are required for nitrox fills:
- Up to 40% – standard nitrox
- > 40% – advanced nitrox or closed circuit rebreather
Closed-Circuit Rebreathers & Boosted Oxygen *
We are a CCR friendly shop, dive them ourselves and can provide boosted oxygen fills up to 200 bar. We stock CCR consumables such as sorb for Poseidon rebreathers and others. A limited selection of rebreather cylinder sets (alloy and steel, inline and left-right valves) and rigged bailout cylinders is also available.
* Due to the skill set required to partial pressure blend nitrox and boosting oxygen, please allow 24 hours for a fill or pre-arrange a time for cylinder filling. If we can fill your cylinders on the spot, we will.
Trimix **
We do sell trimix and stock sufficient quantities of blended 21/35 and 10/70 to support our CCR diving clients. Custom trimix blends can be made to order, however please give us some warning so that we can ensure that adequate helium is in stock and personnel are available to blend the gas. All helium is ultra-high purity, no balloon gas is used.
The following certification requirements are required for trimix fills:
- Down to 18% oxygen – normoxic/basic trimix
- < 18% – hypoxic/advanced trimix
* Due to the skill set required to partial pressure blend trimix and operating our booster, please allow 24 hours for a fill or pre-arrange a time for cylinder filling. Large quantities of trimix may 24 hours to ensure adequate helium supply is available. If we can fill your cylinders on the spot, we will.
